Located outside a small German hamlet, is Cyklonkessel S.
Built between 1914-18, the site is a Kraftwerk (power station ) and Papierfabrik (paper factory). As far as I can tell, the site was closed for both electricity and paper production around 2008, though some parts of the site look like they were mothballed well before that. We couldn’t find access to the paper factory and we had a cursory explore around the Kraftwerk before we ran out of time.
The site is currently active with most of the warehouses locked and used for storage.
UPDATE (Sept 2015): Revisited the site and the owner has barricaded access. Apparently he’s a bit annoyed at everyone visiting so has taken measures to make access as difficult as possible. Entry at own risk as the police will be called if caught.
