History
This quaint hotel was originally run by two sisters – one was an artist while the other ran the hotel. Both died around the turn of the millenium and since then the hotel has fallen into disrepair. A tag on the electrics reads 2005 as the last time it was checked, so I assume it has been abandoned since then.
The Explore
After a frustrating day visiting 14 different sites in the Schwarzwald, of which only one was viable (see previous post), it was a relief to find this little gem. Despite being empty for years, this site only recently popped up on my radar and I’m grateful to see it before it inevitably is demolished or vandalised. Inside is a time capsule, ruined only by the elements, with damp and mould starting to settle in. All in all, a great end to the day.
